RocketSports are delighted to have teamed up with SportsAid to put 15 runners through their paces in the Virgin London Marathon 2011; and now we’ve decided to put on an evening of entertainment to help raise a total of £25,000 for SportsAid.

The evening is only £15 per person and will include food provided by the bar, a drink on arrival per person and amazing entertainment to include a top class band, DJ, auction and raffle’s.

Most of all it’ll be a great bunch of friends and colleagues getting together to support a good cause.

SportsAid help the next generation of British sporting talent to succeed.

For over 30 years, SportsAid has financially supported talented, young sports people when they need it the most, at the start of their journey to international success. SportsAid is the first organisation to recognise their talent, often when Mum and Dad are their only sponsors.

We’re excited to have Anna Hemmings MBE supporting the event and acting as compere, helping with the raffle and auction prizes. Anna Hemmings MBE is best known as Britain’s most successful ever female canoeist, a two time Olympian and 6 times World Champion.

In April 2009 after 15 years at the highest level of the sport Anna decided to retire from professional sport. Anna has an amazing story, after recovering from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome where she was told she may never race again, with sheer determination and “get up and go”, pulled through and victoriously went on to make it a hat-trick of three World titles in a row. A truly World class athlete and person generally.

We’re excited to have also partnered with Party at the Pub to bring this amazing event together where they’ve kindly sponsored one of their flagship bars, The Cape to host our event. Its a fabulous bar right next to St Pauls’ Cathedral, so easily accessible via the tubes, buses and trains.

Party at the Pub have over 217 venues and bars, all of which have high standards and we’re delighted to be able to partner with them.

It will be a night to remember!
